The MacBook Pro 2021 definitely feels like a Pro-level laptop again. Apple's also bumped up the internal webcam to 1080p, from 720p. Other notable changes include the death of the Touch Bar (which never proved its worth), which has been swapped out for physical F1-F12 keys. That said, there's still no USB-A, which is something we're starting to realize Apple has no plans of bringing back. This means you won't need to bring a USB-C dongle to connect to a display or use external memory. On top of that, Apple's brought MagSafe charging, HDMI-out and a SD memory reader back to the MacBook Pro. Oh, and the new M1 Pro (and pricier M1 Max) chips deliver even more speed than ever before, while still enabling all-day battery life. Your favorite movies, and everything else, will simply look better.
That's simply because its new Liquid Retina XDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate is gorgeous. The new 14-inch MacBook Pro is the Mac to get if you have 1) the budget and 2) the need for more ports.

Install the new SSDĪttach the new SATA cable from the hard drive kit (make sure to use the one that faces up when placed into the Mac Mini). You can guide the plastic back into the place you pulled it from, working the connection back into place. Put those through the plastic before inserting the screws. The new SATA cable kit will also have some rubber inserts. Guiding the new hard drive into the plastic insert, you can screw the hard drive into place using the same screws you just used. Using the T5 screwdriver bit, remove the screws from the side of the old hard drive. Install the new hard driveĬonnect the SATA cable into the new hard drive. To remove it, with the power pack being grounded into place on this model, you have to gently wiggle the plastic to get it free. It is connected in the back of the power pack, farthest from where you have the device placed. There is a piece of plastic that guides around the power pack, the logic board, and the hard drive.
